Data controller and scope
The data controller is Güner Ofis, whose details appear above. This notice explains how we process the personal data of people who shop at our online store, create an account or send us a request. It is not a declaration of explicit consent.
Data, purposes and legal grounds
We process names, contact and address details; order, invoice, delivery, return and support records; and names, titles and logos supplied for personalisation, to carry out the relevant transaction. The conclusion and performance of orders are based on Article 5(2)(c) of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK); invoices and mandatory records on Article 5(2)(a) and (ç); and the handling of legal claims on Article 5(2)(e). Article 5(2)(f) applies to security and the prevention of misuse, provided your fundamental rights are not harmed. Using the website, opening an account or placing an order does not constitute consent to advertising messages or explicit consent. Any processing that requires explicit consent must be covered by separate consent limited to the relevant purpose.
Collection methods and recipients
Data is collected through website forms, orders, account transactions, and written or electronic requests you send us. Information necessary for the relevant service is shared with carriers for delivery, your selected payment service provider for payment, authorised service providers for invoicing and accounting, and competent public authorities where legally required. We do not request information unrelated to the transaction.
Our store uses Shopify infrastructure. Your IP address, device and browser information, and session and usage logs are also processed automatically when you access the website. Order, account and form information is processed through Shopify infrastructure to host the store and carry out transactions. Technical records necessary for security are processed under Article 5(2)(f) of the KVKK, provided your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed.
Shopify and processing outside Türkiye
Shopify uses global infrastructure. According to Shopify’s published Data Processing Addendum, customer data may be processed in countries where Shopify, its affiliates and its service providers are located, including countries outside Türkiye such as Canada and Singapore. Information about Shopify’s service providers and processing activities is available in its Data Processing Addendum and Consumer Privacy Policy.
Transfers abroad are subject to the conditions in Article 9 of the KVKK. Reading this notice, using the website or making a purchase does not constitute explicit consent to a transfer abroad. You may request information about recipients of your data and transfers through the application channels below.
Retention
Data is retained for the periods required by applicable legislation and for as long as needed for the purpose of processing. When the grounds for retention cease to apply, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with legislation. There is no single, indefinite retention rule for all types of data.
Your rights and requests
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you may learn whether your data is processed, the purpose of processing, whether it is used in accordance with that purpose, and the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad. You may request correction of inaccurate information, deletion or destruction where the conditions are met, and notification of these actions to the relevant recipients. You may object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis and seek compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
You may submit a request stating your identity and request in writing to the address above, or email info@gunerofis.com from an email address you previously provided and that is registered in our system. Other application methods provided by legislation, such as a secure electronic signature or mobile signature, may also be used. Requests are answered within 30 days at the latest; only costs permitted by legislation may be charged. Your right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Board is reserved.
Cookies and browser storage
The store uses cookies and similar browser technologies for functions such as sessions and the shopping cart. You can delete or block cookies and site data through your browser settings; doing so may affect your session, cart and saved preferences. The legal requirements for non-essential analytics and advertising processing apply separately; this notice does not constitute consent to those activities.
